The Java platform has recently completed another round in its evolution with the release of Java 6 Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition. This particular release did not introduce any new language features but there have been significant improvements in the Java Platform. Improvements have been made in a number of areas such as Swing enhancements, built in HTTP server to build SOAP services, XML binding, scripting support, monitoring and management. This meeting is a must for any Java developer or anyone thinking about using Java.
Simon Cook is a Senior Web Services Architect and has worked at Sun for number of years and is closely involved with the evolution of the Java Platform.
