Growing up in the 80's Jason Weems wanted to be the same thing as every other little boy: Hulk Hogan, Sunny Crockett and MacGyver. Around the age of 12, he realized these were all middle-aged white men who lived on the edge and it probably wouldn't work out for him. Ever since that moment, he has been trying to make people laugh to mask the pain.
Baltimore City native Jason Weems is striving to become a comedic great. The many years he has spent working with kindergartners has shaped his humor in a very unique way, and also left him with severe panic attacks. His engaging & conversational style on stage leaves audiences feeling like they’ve just talked with a close friend, and it simultaneously acts as free therapy for him. That’s what he calls a "win-win.”
Jason has been seen at the most prestigious “invitation only” comedy festival in the world, the "Just For Laughs Festival" in Montreal, and he was recently featured as semi-finalist on the hit NBC Series "Last Comic Standing." In December 2010, Jason filmed his first hourlong comedy special titled "Jason Weems, Vol. 1: Intellectual Property" in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, and he's recognixed throughout the Washington DC/Balitmore area as a rising comedy star. Keep your eyes open for him performing in your city, because it’s just a matter of time before his “Good Ass Jokes” are heard worldwide.
