ArtOrg with support from the Carleton Cinema and Media Studies department, announce the third year of the four-week Japanese Animation Festival titled "Whose Side Are You On?".
Rana Raeuchle will be leading the series with talks on each film in the series. Rana is teaching our Comickers Unite class at ArtOrg. The festival happens on four consecutive Friday nights in October: October 7, 14, 21, and 28. The shows start at 7 pm each night in room 104 of Boliou Hall at Carleton College. Boliou Hall is located on the main campus of Carleton College on the north end overlooking Lyman Lakes. Driving out of Northfield, turn right off Highway 19 directly before Lyman Lakes; this lot is the shortest walk to Boliou Hall. Please note that the second film in the series will be shown in the ArtOrg Gallery (an appropriate location for "Gallery Fake").

Friday, October 13: Gallery Fake - Fujiya, a former restorer and curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, runs one of the most unusual galleries in Tokyo. Named "Gallery Fake," he claims to deal solely in fakes and reproductions of some of the world's most valuable pieces of art. But there are mysteries behind the doors of his gallery, and his business is always under the watchful eye of the curator of the Tokyo museum of art. Does he deal in counterfeits, or black market originals? Please note that this film will be shown in the ArtOrg gallery at 200 Division Street (riverside entrance).
