Japan Society Annual Award of Honor Gala October 26, 2007

The Japan Society of Northern California invites you to attend the 2007 Award of Honor Gala and Silent Auction. Founded in 1905, the Japan Society is an educational non-profit dedicated to strengthening cooperation and friendship between the peoples of Japan and the United States. The annual Award of Honor Gala is our occasion to recognize people in both the local and international communities who have done exemplary work in the spirit of our mission.

This year's Gala honors Mr. Yuzaburo Mogi, Chairman and CEO of Kikkoman Corporation, on his company's 50th anniversary in the American market. Bay Area native and one of the nation's leading playwrights, Mr. Philip Kan Gotanda, will receive a special artistic achievement award for his large body of powerful work about the Asian American experience.
