Japan C Kamishibai for Kids September 27, 2008

Kamishibai means "paper drama", and it is a story told through picture scrolls. A master story teller uses the beautifully imagery to set the stage for magical drama begin told.

Join Tara McGowan, a professional storyteller, teacher and visual artist on an interactive journey to discover kamishibai 'paper theater' storytelling. Tara will introduce this traditional art form and precursor to anime and manga, while sprinkling in Japanese words and introducing cultural elements sure to enthrall children and adults alike.

This program is open to children 3-7 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
