Jane Mason - COME on SUN November 9, 2007

Devon based choreographer Jane Mason, a founder member of Random Dance, has been producing quietly evocative work for live performance since 1997 and more recently for film.

COME on SUN is an intensely intimate solo featuring an integral cinematic soundtrack performed live by musicians Scott Smith and Jules Maxwell and lighting design by Lucy Carter.

Initially created for The 2006 Place Prize, COME on SUN considers the experience of a fragile body’s coming of age.

Drawing upon references from her previous solos, COME on SUN traces an intricate elemental territory where the spaces between the image, movement, words and song linger with a tangible emotional presence.
