When we think of Bob Hope, we usually think of him as one of the greatest legends of comedy. A different, personal take on Hope comes from gorgeous West Coast songstress, JAN DALEY, who toured with him as the singing star of his troop shows, entertaining over 100,000 GI Joes and Janes during wartime. Miss Daley has recently released a unique tribute to the love songs Hope introduced to the world through his work in films and theater. She’ll visit Feinstein’s on April 3, 2011, performing music from “Where There’s Hope – A Tribute to the Love Songs from Bob Hope’s Legacy”. You won’t want to miss the vintage film clip of Jan in Viet Nam singing to one of our GI’s, which kicks off the show.

The evening’s repertoire includes some of the best loved tunes from the American Songbook, including Duke and Gershwin’s “I Can’t Get Started” and Porter’s “It’s De-Lovely. ” And you’ll hear some Jan Daley originals, too, as well as the special version of “Thanks for the Memory” she sang at the beloved funny-man’s memorial. Miss Daley will blend personal experience with showbiz history, as she recounts funny and poignant stories of her travels with Bob.

Jan Daley is glamorous and elegant with a voice to match. Billboard wrote, “Miss Daley, whose voice matches her looks, is in every sense of the word, a knockout!” The Los Angeles Times continued with, “Her vocal technique is marvelous.”
