James Pappoutsakis 30th Annual Flute Competition, Winner’s Recital September 18, 2010

The James Pappoutsakis Flute Competition will present the 30th annual competition winner, Caitlyn Perry, in recital. The program: Sinfonische Kanzone by Sigfried Karg-Elert; Third Sonata for Flute and Piano of Philippe Gaubert, Schubert's Variationen uber Trockne Blumen (op 160), Sonatina for Flute (Piccolo) and Piano by Gunther Schuller (commissioned for this contest), and the premiere of a new work written for Ms. Perry by John Heiss.
