James Kochalka Superstar LIVE August 26, 2006

Internationally-known award-winning comics icon (and underground rock star) JAMES KOCHALKA SUPERSTAR will be playing a rare duo show at Tritone this Saturday night 8/26 accompanied by guitarist/cartoon sidekick Jason X-12. Supporting will be Philly's own The Winnebagos.

Long known for his comic artwork James has been slowly but surely gathering fans for his wildly original music, which could be described as Jonathan Richman with Bon Scott's ballsack, or Art Brut with actual melody. Recently his song "Hockey Monkey" was picked up as the theme to FOX sitcom "The Loop" which was just renewed for another season. His new album Spread Your Evil Wings And Fly will be coming out on Rykodisc records on September 12th.
