Jai Ho stands for celebration of victory (or be victorious) in Hindi.

The Jai Ho Dance Party at Lola's room is an invitation to celebrate the victory of true passion over obligation by Engineer turned Performer Prashant, who is following his passion for entertainment and making thousands dance to Desi (Indian) beats across the nation!

Prashant (NW Dance Project, PCC and PSU World Dance Faculty) will teach a special Bhangra Dance workshop beginning at 10:00 PM. No previous dance experience necessary. Come early for fun dance lessons and stay late to show off your new moves on the (spring loaded) dance floor!

About Prashant:

This multi-talented Cornell Graduate and ex- Intel Engineer is a Bollywood Singer, Dance Instructor, and DJ, spinning an eclectic mix of International dance music to packed houses nationwide.

He has moved crowds across the U.S. including in New York City, Washington D.C., and Seattle with his DJ'ing and LIVE singing.

As a Dance Teacher, Prashant has taught at PCC, PSU, and currently teaches at NW Professional Dance Project.

Prashant has also independently choreographed dances for and performed alongside March 4th Marching Band at the Crystal Ballroom and the Roseland Theater here in Portland.

Prashant will mix the best in Bhangra Dance Music on May 22nd at Lola’s Room.
