A Weekly Summer Movie Series at Jack’s Bar & Grill
CHICAGO — Lincoln Park staple, Jack’s Bar & Grill, 2856 N. Southport Ave., presents Movies on the Patio, a summer series of popular movies every Sunday evening, beginning at 6 p.m. from May 29 to Sept. 4. Guests are sure to enjoy a variety of classic comedies and dramas at Jack’s quintessential Chicago patio complete with a full outdoor bar, fireplace, and several flat-screen televisions. Complimentary popcorn and regular Sunday specials including a $7 Bloody Mary Bar and $10 Bottomless Mimosas will be available.
The schedule for films appears as follows: May 29: Big and Forrest Gump, June 5: Wedding Crashers and Starsky & Hutch, June 12: Dazed and Confused and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, June 19: Beerfest and Super Troopers, June 26: Talladega Nights and Step Brothers, July 3: The Last Crusade and Temple of Doom, July 10: Big Lebowski and Kingpin, July 17: The Hangover and Due Date, July 24: E.T. and The Goonies, July 31: Old School and Animal House, Aug. 7: Uncle Buck and Great Outdoors, Aug. 14: Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, Aug. 21: There’s Something About Mary and Zoolander, Aug. 28: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Break-Up, and Sept. 4: Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber.
Jack’s is known for featuring classic comfort food including Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, Baked Mac ‘n Cheese, “Ma’s Open Faced Meatloaf Sandwich”, and Apple Pot Pie a la mode. Jack’s features various appetizer and entrée specials each day including 50-cent wings on Monday, $5 burgers on Tuesday, $5 wraps, salads, and fish tacos on Wednesday, $7 Pizzas on Thursday, and half-price appetizers until 9 p.m. on Friday.
The restaurant serves up daily drink specials, including $10 Pitchers on Monday, $3 drafts on Tuesday, $5 Martinis on Wednesday, $15 beer buckets on Thursday, $5 Jameson shots and Bacardi bombs on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, Jack’s serves a delectable brunch, which includes Challah French Toast and its Signature Hangover Burrito for $9 each. It also features a variety of skillets for $10, a $7 Bloody Mary Bar and $10 Bottomless Mimosas.
Jack’s prides itself on being an “American Craft Beer House and Comfort Eatery”. Bartenders can put together custom beer flights of their craft beers. Customers can enjoy their selections at the bar, comfy booths, or sociable lounge area. During colder months, patrons can cozy up to the fireplace and stay awhile.
With a large patio and private event rooms, Jack’s offers event packages for all celebrations—birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and anniversaries. Guests are encouraged to bring in their own music and video games to make each event highly individualized.
