Oregon based experimental group Jackie-O Motherfucker bring their mind fryingly georgeous folk rock to The Kings Arms, Bloom St, Salford (Manchester) M3 6AN on Wednesday 29/10/08.

This is a band that has influenced countless contemporary sound-makers and musicians with both their freeform, modern interpretations of traditional folk, and their cut and paste, collective style of band membership. The group now has more than twenty rotating members drawn from the U.S. experimental scene.

JOMF's music draws from a variety of subgenres including drone, free jazz, space-rock and is heavily improvisational in its nature. Because they are a collective, rather than a consistent band or group, the sound of their music can change from performance to performance.
