Jack Wilkins and the Peter Bernstein Quartet will perfrom at the Sanctuary Hotel (located at 132 West 47th Street) on Monday, August 13th from 7pm to 11pm. Guitarist Jack Wilkins has been on the International jazz scene since the early 1970's renowned for his clean, warm guitar tone and his lyrical melodic lines. In recent years, Jack has played many international festivals with jazz greats Stanley Turrentine, Jimmy Heath, The Mingus Epitaph, 5 Guitars play Mingus, Red Rodney, Ira Sullivan, Johnny Griffin and others and with renowned singers Mel Torme, Ray Charles, Morgana King, Sarah Vaughan, Sammy Davis Jr, Tony Bennett, Manhattan Transfer, Nancy Marano, Chris Conner, Cassandra Wilson, and Jay Clayton. Known for his for his clean, warm guitar tone and his lyrical melodic lines Peter Bernstein has played with Joshua Redman, Melvin Rhyne, Diana Krall, Larry Goldings, Bill Stewart, Jimmy Cobb, Lee Konitz, Roy Hargrove, Tom Harrell, Joe Lovano, Jack McDuff, Lonnie Smith, Eric Alexander, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride, Mike LeDonne and many more.
