Iyengar classes are taught focusing in a correct way to do each pose, and that every student will one day be able to attain perfect poses through consistent practice. Once this balance is created in the body, it will be reflected in the mind. Students are encouraged to use props to assist them in attaining ideal alignment, even if the body is not yet open enough. The Iyengar's method makes yoga more accessible to a wide range of people. The props are used to adapt the body to the correct alignment, and can be used according to the student's own needs.
Who shall attend? These class is appropriate for active beginners as well as seasoned yogis. Some yoga experience is helpful, but not required.
What to bring? Wear comfortable clothes and expect to move and sweat. Bring a Mat, blocks and strap. Also water, a Small towel and tons of Energy!
