Explore the diversity of plant and animal species native to eastern North Carolina–both in the river and on the land. Start with a seining activity that will provide specimens of aquatic creatures and give participants an excuse to cool off in the river. Then proceed to a stand of long-leaf pines to discover what is so special about this once-abundant natural resource.

This is a great family event for children and adults of all ages!
