[IxDA-SF PRESENTS] VizFarm July 29, 2008

We're happy to confirm our community-driven July event, VizFarm! IDEO has graciously agreed to sponsor and host the event on Tuesday, July 29, starting at 6:30pm in their San Francisco office.

YOU MUST RSVP TO ATTEND!!! We have a hard cap of 80 attendees, all of which must have RSVP'd here. If you are not on the list, you will likely not get in. If you will not be attending, please remove your name from the guest list, so another guest may take your spot.

NO PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO OR AUDIO RECORDING ALLOWED. Some of the work being presented is not yet out in the wild. In the interest of client privacy, we will not allow any type of recording. Some of the images may be included in a SlideShare presentation after the event.

[IxDA-SF presents] VizFarm

As people and businesses increasingly need to understand and evaluate vast amounts of information, information visualization has moved from a research topic to a mainstream technique. It’s now an interaction designer’s job to express all manner of complex information through graphics, animations and interactive interfaces.

On July 29, IxDA-SF presents VizFarm, where you can have the opportunity to share your data visualization work with the local interaction design community. IxDA-SF will be hosting an evening of 5- minute presentations from local designers, showing off great examples of information visualization in practice.

6:30 pm – Socializing with light refreshments and Hiring Salon (employers/recruiters, bring job descriptions to share)
7:00 pm – Presentation
