iX Conference June 19, 2007

iX Conference (http://www.ixconference.com) is an annual IT event organised by Singapore IT Federation. Our thematic focus this year is 'Digital Media in the Enterprise' which will be relevant for most organisations.

This year we have almost 50 speakers, appearing over 2 days, each providing insights on what's happening in enterprise digital media. Among them is Douglas Merrill, CIO and VP Engineering at Google; Michael Arrington, publisher of the influential Techcrunch blog; and Mike Downey, Senior Apollo Project Manager at Adobe Systems. In case you're not aware, Apollo is the new Flash-enabled platform which provides the foundation for rich-media web applications and the just announced Adobe Media Player. Microsoft and Google will also be showcasing their own rich-media web applications for the enterprise.

There are various technical breakouts, and a fringe event billed as 'Second Life Experience'. But the uber-geeks will be heading to the Gala Cocktail and Dinner at Shangri La Hotel. This programme includes production of a televised interview with Douglas Merritt and other keynote speakers in a "Letterman Show" format.

iX is held on 20-21 June, at Suntec Exhibition & Conference Centre. The ordinary price of admission is just S$ 499 (some discounts apply), and the VIP pass is S$ 1399 (which includes the dinner).
