Community Cinema is a series of free monthly screenings of documentaries from the upcoming PBS Independent Lens television series, followed by lively discussions that encourage viewers to get involved in some of today’s key social issues.
This month, Helvetica, an independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. Taking a look at the proliferation of one typeface (which celebrated its 50th birthday in 2007), the film traces a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives.
