Last year’s crazy early warm weather wreaked havoc on our maple syruping - the sap ran too early and too quickly. How will it be this year? Come find out at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center where in late March for "It's Tapping Time!" Join us on either Saturday, March 23 or Sunday, March 24 for a great family outing. We'll be there from 10am-4pm both days – drop-in when you want, stay as long as you wish.
Come along as we demonstrate how to tap maple trees, collect the sap and cook it to make delicious maple syrup. Learn about traditional syruping methods, listen to Native American stories, make a fun craft and taste maple treats. And new this year: Kinderberry Hill of Roseville will be giving away maple tree seedlings, one per family! No charge for this sweet family outing!
