It's My Party: Music of the Girl Groups March 18, 2012

The Richmond Women's Chorus will present its annual pops concert entitled "It's My Party: Music Of The Girl Groups". This is a musical salute to the female singers and girl groups of the 1950s and 1960s including such hits as Heat Wave, Please Mr. Postman, Baby Love,/Leader Of the Pack, My Boyfriend's Back and Land Of 1000 Dances. From 50's ballads and Pop to 60's Motown and Rock, they spoke for and helped mold an entire generation. Guest performer and local favorite Amy Henderson rounds out the concert performing additional songs from the era.
