Brooklyn, NY - November 16 from 11am-7pm, Brooklyn Indie Market (www.brooklynindiemarket.com) will team up with the
{NewNew} (www.TheNewNewNY.com) to present a one-day shopping event. The emerging designer outlet in Carroll Gardens is
hoping to expand on its mission to connect local designers with local consumers by teaming up with the {NewNew}, a group of
New York based independent artists and designers of handmade goods.
"In some ways, it's the perfect arrangement," states Kimm Alfonso, leader of the artist collective. "We have two local groups
pulling for the same cause. The {NewNew} is a group of local designers trying to bring more hand crafted goods into the market-
place, and the Brooklyn Indie Market is a great business channel for that creativity since the area is home to many designers who
operate as entrepreneurs."
The Brooklyn Indie Market will be hosting to 20 local designers on the day of the event. Each designer will showcase hand-
crafted items from categories such as housewares, jewelry, art, apparel, accessories and more. Visitors to the red and white
striped tent that day will have an opportunity to enter a raffle and win a gift bag filled with handmade donated by some of the
sellers at the event.

The membership consists of artists from the New York Metro region who create handmade goods including clothing, art, home
decor, jewelry, accessories, paper goods, bath and body products, toys, and baked goods, to name a few.
