Itchy Mountain Men November 9, 2007

Formed in 2005, the Itchy Mountain Men started playing together when they were only sophomores in high school. Since then, they have built a repertoire that includes old time bluegrass, jazz, funk and modern and classic covers. The Itchy Mountain Men received recognition as the “Best Emerging Band” at the Berkeley Old Time String Festival & Contest in September of 2006 and they received the highest rankings at the 2007 Santa Cruz Jazz Fest! The band members are Joel "Snuffy" Morais on the mandolin and vocals, Ben “String Bean” Margolin on the upright bass, Ricky “Slick Rick” Mier on the banjo, Roger “Stretch” Krakow on the guitar and backup vocals, and Christine “Sweet Pea” Donaldson for lead vocals.
