ITALIAN SHORTS PROGRAM, 85 min. This program of six short films highlights an array of cinematic amuse bouche from Italy! Includes Adriano Giannini’s “The Game” (16 min) about children’s games in the midst of WWII; Davide Minnella’s “As It Should Be” (14 min) about an aging chef passing on her culinary secrets to a young girl; Valeria Golino’s “Armandino e il Madre” (15 min) about a romance amidst the MADRE, or Naples’ museum of contemporary arts; Simone and Leonardo Godano’s “Niente Orchidee” (14 min) about a bar owner with a dangerous deal with the Mafia; Ferdinando Cito Filomarino’s award-winning “Diarchia” (19 min) about an alarming accident between two strangers; and Michaela Cescone’s “Come un Soffio” (7 min) about an ambiguous meeting between a man and a woman.
