Italian Gay Open Tennis in Milan September 3, 2009

Listen up guys! Summer has come and along with it, a bunch of awesome events. Milan, one of the most famous cities in Italy, is about to present a series of fun and interesting events. There are some initiatives for gays & lesbians, and a lot of options are available for everyone.

The city offers lots of nice places for the gay community. A lot of clubs there are gay friendly among which the most famous are Black Hole, After Line, which is a very interesting club with great shows ; Atmosphere Live, Company Bar, Lelephant, Next Groove, Plastic, Sottomarino Giall and Nuova Idea, one of the biggest gay clubs in Italy…

The beautiful city of Milan organizes new events every year that are specially designed for the locals, such as the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, which will take place during the autumn. This film festival has been happening for about 20 years now and every year more than 18 000 people show up. This is an occasion to celebrate the gay & lesbian lifestyle through movies, debates and forums.

One of the most interesting events that are coming up in the next few months is the Italian Gay Open Tennis. It’s a truly nice sporting event where lots of gay & lesbian athletes come to participate. Some say that 150 players will show off their tennis skills at the Tennis Corvetto where the matches will take place. This friendly competition is organized by the Association of Homosexual Tennis Players (A.T.OMO), and this year it will be from September 3rd until Sept. 6th 2009.

Everyone can play, both men and women, according to their talent and level of practice from beginner to pro. Guests will be invited to the Café Palo Alto where they will be served typical Italian food, but more important: don’t miss out on the Milanese drinks and the opportunity to make new friends. If you came alone, chances are you won’t stay by yourself for long at the Italian Gay Open Tennis in Milan.
