Italian Festival July 17, 2008

The weekend opens with a special dedication in honor of Reno Garagiola's 40 years as the Festival chairperson for the Italian American Cultural Society. A parade of Italian Clubs at 6 p.m. and the introduction of this year's Queen and her court at 8 p.m. Taking place on Saturday will be a Meat Ball Contest, Spaghetti Eating contest, Lamborgini/Ferrari Car Show, the Club Terrasini La Festa Degli Schietti will be near the back of the Independence Building at 4 p.m. Festival hours Friday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, noon to 11 p.m. Sunday, noon to 11 p.m. Admission is free, Parking is $7.
