Charles Ault, Sr. started The Player Guild in 1936 as a means to put food on the table in the middle of the depression. A love for the theatre and a creative mind brought a group of talented community actors and actresses together to provide the public with live entertainment. This concept was passed on to his son Charles Ault, Jr. who now, in its 73rd season, runs The Players Guild.
