IT in London - Terminal 5, RegenTV, iBus June 14, 2006

Come and find out about the central role IT is playing in three very different projects from across the Capital.

Terminal 5 is a ?4.2bn expansion of Heathrow airport. Nick Gains will explain the key role IT will play in the life of the terminal and describe the approach taken in rolling out and testing the infrastructure.

RegenTV addresses issues of social exclusion by converting a TV into a portal of interactive services. John Defoe will talk about its success to date in the London Borough of Newham and demonstrate an example of the system.

iBus will provide passengers on London?s buses with access to precise real-time location information. Martin Davey will talk about a recent trial of the system and explain how it will benefit Londoners in future.
