Examine the profound differences between Israeli and American patterns of behavior, communication and culture as reflected in scenes from HBO’s award-winning series In Treatment, based on the critically acclaimed Israeli smash hit BeTipul. Although In Treatment was based on the original Israeli characters and scripts, the differences between the shows provide a unique window into the fundamental beliefs and values of the two cultures.

Gal Szekely is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and a life coach. He received a Masters degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and a Masters in Social Psychology from Tel-Aviv University in Israel.

Szekely is an experienced speaker and workshop leader and has worked with many types of organizations including high tech companies, non profits and universities. His work combines psychotherapy, life coaching and spiritual guidance and is practical and transformative. It is also influenced by mindfulness meditation and a deep understanding of the body-mind connection.
