JULY 31st 2008 - Introducing Island Dance Party 2008 ~ Rock the Vote: Live at the Fat Cat Lounge – 930 11th Street - Modesto California – 7 P.M.

Here’s a little something for us all to do together: Independent’s, Democrats and Republicans alike. We can all have a fun evening of live entertainment and dancing and we can meet others from the local community. Our little event could be one of the most fun times you’ll have in 2008!

DAVID KIRTON from Barbados West Indies
Kirton is the recipient of two 2008 Barbados Music Awards: one for Reggae Artist of the year and one for Reggae Song of the year (Green Camouflage): Kirton’s new album is entitled Time for Change which many people have said is what America: this world really needs at this time: Change. David Kirton’s music is a modern blend of R&B, Soul, Reggae, Rock and Pop that will appeal to a wide audience. ONE LEG CHUCK from Lodi California
From California to New York and Back Again, One Leg Chuck will win the hearts and ears of any audience that is lucky enough to see him perform. One Leg Chuck has spent the last two years in New York developing and playing his music where he sold somewhere in the neighborhood of 10,000 CD’s while performing in the Subways of New York: most of the CD’s were sold straight out of his hand (wanna talk about a promoter). The name says it all... One Leg Chuck: Yes. He only has one leg. Chuck will deliver a quality show of lovers’ rock and pop to hard hitting reggae beats: he performs his own original material. KAYA’S GROOVE from West Sacramento California
A true band of professional players made up of rockers and reggae performers that share in the gospel of friendship through musical collaboration: Kaya’s Groove will bring a solid set of modern tropical sounds to get the evening rolling. ROCK THE VOTE (Mtv) is at this event as well! We’ll have an Official Rock the Vote Voter Registration Booth set up for you to get registered to vote in the November Presidential Elections. We have set ourselves a goal at our Official ROCK THE VOTE Registration Booth: We want to get 300 people registered to vote the day of this event and we’ll be working in downtown Modesto All Day to achieve this goal. Please come out to help us reach our goal. You have the power to help Change the way our Government is doing business and your voice needs to be heard!
