Iolanthe - 16th International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival August 6, 2009

South Anglia Savoy Players presents Iolanthe at Buxton Opera House, as part of the 16th International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival (http://www.gs-festival.co.uk/).

An evening of light opera in the inimitable style that Gilbert & Sullivan made their own. In this Operetta Gilbert makes a satire upon Parliament and the Law.
The South Anglia Savoy Players are a group of local singers. Amateurs but distinguished by the high standards they maintain, their fine singing, huge casts, excellent choruses and wonderful costumes, acccompanied by a live Chamber Orchestra.
