Introduction to Shorebirds Field Trip 2 August 1, 2009

Shorebirds are spectacular and elegant. No other birds are so visible, yet can be confusing for so many. Learn how to identify shorebirds in an evening slide and video lecture. Then make it real by taking one or both field trips. The first field trip will be to Plum Island and Newburyport, with minimal walking. The second will be to South Beach, Chatham. Be prepared for shallow wading and walking in sand for several miles.
