Learn what an archaeologist does in the field and the type of equipment one uses. In this hands-on class, students will have the opportunity to operate transit levels, directional transits, directional compasses, right angle gauges, plumb bobs and gammon reels, in addition to other essential tools. Students will also learn how to use a topographic map and how to make a map, and how to construct coil pots. Each student will take home an air dried pot.
