Pure Data is an open source audio and multimedia visual programming
language. Its a branch of the patcher programming language known as
Max. Pure Data is available for Mac, Win32 and GNU/Linux.
In this class, youll install Pure Data on your computer (bring your
own laptop, or use one of ours), and learn to use objects (externals)
as building blocks for your own audio program. Youll also learn to
integrate patches written by other Pure Data programmers. Well also
take a look at how GEM (Graphics Environment for Multimedia) enables
you to manipulate graphics, video, camera support, and external sensor
control (ie. Arduino input).
