In honor of Women’s History Month, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum introduces the free Tour Guide Talk “The Real Rosie the Riveters” that will run every Saturday and Sunday in March, from 11:00 AM – 11:15 AM & 2:00 PM – 2:15 PM aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.
This interactive talk celebrates “Rosie the Riveter,” an American icon from World War II that has come to represent the “We Can Do It” spirit of women and girls around the globe. The talk will share the history of “Rosie” with visitors and offer insight into how she helped change the lives of women in the workplace up to the present day.
This Tour Guide Talk is open to the public and free with the price of admission to the museum.
