In honor of Women’s History Month, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum introduces the free Tour Guide Talk “Sally Ride: Trailblazing Astronaut” that will run every Saturday and Sunday in March, from 12:00 PM – 12:15 PM & 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.
Dr. Sally Ride, who passed away on July 23, 2012, broke barriers by becoming America’s first woman to travel into space on the Space Shuttle Orbiter Challenger in 1983. The interactive talk will celebrate her career with NASA and the legacy she left for young people in the fields of science and technology.
This Tour Guide Talk is open to the public and free with the price of admission to the museum.
