The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum introduces the free Tour Guide Talk “How Big is Space?” that will run Saturdays and Sundays from April 20th - 28th, from 11:00 AM – 11:15 AM & 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.
The diagrams of the Solar System we see in school classrooms do not represent the true scale of Space as miles and light years are hard to visualize. Join the Intrepid Tour Guides to build a scale model of the Solar System and learn just how far away the International Space Station, the Moon and Mars actually are.
This Tour Guide Talk is open to the public and free with the price of admission to the museum.
