Actress and television personality Shirley Romaine discusses remarkable women poets in their intimate encounters with lovers, friends, children, parents and even with coming to terms with age and aging. Intimate Encounters, exploring work by poets Christina Rossetti, Nikki Giovanni, Edna St. Vincent, Millay, Anne Sexton, May Sarton and many others, complements the museum’s current exhibitions of art by women and art that depicts women. Newsday called this encounter with women poets “an exquisite presentation.”
