Participants in this workshop will learn about current trends, interdisciplinary models and a variety of intervention strategies for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Intervention strategies for young children with ASD will address purposeful communication, pre-verbal problem solving interactions, creating ideas and learning to support imagination and reasoning abilities, range of emotion, cognitive, motor and sensory abilities. We will specifically look at characteristics of functional developmental capacities, individual differences and
how relationship plays a key role for children with ASD.
