International Mystery Writers' Festival: Discovering New Mysteries June 14, 2012

The festival celebrates the best of new writers' works through competition. A panel of readers has honed a list of hundreds of submissions to just 3 finalists. Professionals from Seattle, Hollywood and the Midwest then join together to produce, direct, rehearse, and premiere the top scripts live on stage for audience enjoyment and selection of the "Angie" award for Best Play. The Festival will produce one fully staged show ('Absolutely Dead'), as well as two Live Radio Theatre productions ('Encore for Murder' and 'Lost at Sea'). Master classes and special guest presentations will be offered during the festival at no charge. Book signings and workshops will also be offered. Also returning to the festival this year are the 'Writer's Reels,' playing on the giant 40ft X 20Ft outdoor movie screen.
