International Journalism Festival March 31, 2009

The third edition of the International Journalism Festival will be held in Perugia, Italy from Wednesday 01 to Sunday 05 April 2009.

The annual Perugia International Journalism Festival is the leading journalism event in Italy. The festival’s unique format sets it apart from other media events: it is not a convention for specialists in a particular media area, it is not an academic/institutional forum and it is not a promotional knees-up for a particular media organisation. Rather, it is an open invitation to listen to and network with the best of world journalism. The objective is to celebrate excellence and/or courage in journalistic writing worldwide. Topics under consideration range across all areas of current significance for the media and society in general. The leitmotiv is one of informality and accessibility, designed to appeal to journalists, journalism students and citizens interested in and/or concerned about the influence of the media on our daily lives. Simultaneous translation into English and Italian is provided.

All festival events are open to the public free of charge but please note that for some events it may be necessary to book online in order to be guaranteed entry.
