Coming alone for the first time? Don't worry find me and stay with me. I will be happy to drag you around and introduce you to new people, my friends are your friends.

Language exchange? There are many languages in the group that can be exchanged but that is your job to look for that. If you need help with finding someone just ask me I will do my best.

This saturday Night after our regular happy hour in Campo at 1:45AM SUNDAY morning " Expats living in Rome" will be joining thousands of people in front of CAMPIDOGLIO to eat cornetti we will walk over together!!

Remember bring a cornetto or 2 for a friend or someone that joins in the fun that didn't read about it, or know about it!

Thanks & dont' forget to bring a cornetto!

(ANSA) - Rome, March 26 - Revellers spilling out of discos and bars in Rome in the early hours of the morning will no longer be able to satisfy late-night munchies under a new city council reform designed to calm the capital's nightlife.

Vendors of freshly made croissants, ice-cream, pizza and sandwiches will have to shut up shop at 1 AM under the new law, which comes into effect in mid March.''This applies to croissant makers, ice-cream makers, cake shops, yogurt shops, sandwich shops, take-aways and rotisseries,'' said city councillor Davide Bordoni.

''One in the morning seems to us a reasonable hour that is satisfactory for both the shop owners and residents,'' he said.

Last month the council resuscitated a summer ban on take-away sales of drinks after 21.00 in the city centre after an American was stabbed during a fight at Campo de' Fiori, popular with tourists and locals for its lively nightlife.

It's not all about the Cornetto lately many clubs have had random checks and closed for some days, or weeks. They are trying to tame the nightlife down but there are actually taking it away from us. Not that it was that big to begin with.

If you are a foreigner living in Rome I suggest that you bring a COPY of your passport, and a picture ID because people have been getting stopped in the streets, and buses for documents.
