The participants of 'Cross Cultural Conversation' seek to foster a sense of human solidarity in a plural world. The concern is how to remove asymmetries and help build bridges by mediating between the dominant and the marginalized groups within national and international contexts, while recognizing the legitimacy of the criteria of race and religion, nationality and ethnicity, gender and class etc. It is with this intent that an international group of scholars who specialize in different disciplines, thinkers and diplomats are coming together in order to express their views in an open conversational setting in the Indian capital.
