International Coastal Cleanup September 15, 2007

We are looking for volunteers to help clean the parks beaches for this year’s International Coastal Cleanup. Did you know an estimated one million seabirds and one hundred thousand sea mammals die by drowning, strangulation and starvation every year when they become entangled in trash of all sorts? Please lend a hand by being one of five million volunteers which help keep our coastlines beautiful every year. Everyone is welcome and afterwards, participants will be eligible to enter a draw for some great prizes. Register for this event by calling the park at 653-7367. Meet at the Flagpoles on Saints Rest Beach. Gloves and bags will be provided.
