Description:
Please note: This course takes place each Thursday evening from 6pm - 9pm from January 8th - March 19th.
Many ActionScript programmers are self-taught, and come from many different types of
backgrounds. This course will help solidify a developers knowledge of scripting and
ActionScript. It will introduce beginner programmers to concepts about programming that will help them make the jump from being a "beginner" to being more confident in their ActionScript and programming skills.
The course focus will be split into 3 parts: programming fundamentals, practical ActionScript solutions to common problems, and introducing concepts that are specific to ActionScript 3.0. This 10 week course will focus around the development of a project, where each week will build on the previous week's development of the project. At the end of the course, each student will have built a feature complete, robust Flash application, ready for deployment onto a website.
The complexity of the project will be similar to what an agency may ask of an intermediate ActionScript developer.
