Bringing together first-rate writing talent, software developers, game designers and performers, Interludes aims to create ground-breaking works of pervasive theatre and digitally mediated interactive performance. The project will culminate in a short season of theatrical works, all of which incorporate games, participation and play in the broadest sense.
Annette Mees, who will be working on the development of Interludes, is a Dutch theatre maker and adventure designer based in London. She has a special interest in new writing, location specific work, interactive theatre, technology and cross-art form productions.
The project is curated and produced by Jon Weinbren, who has a background in screenwriting and story development for film and television, and now focuses on games and animation projects through his role as creative director of Imaginary Productions. He has worked in senior creative capacities on projects with BBC, Channel 4, The Science Museum, Electronic Arts, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and numerous others.
