During a luncheon ceremony that culminates ICF's Building the Broadband Economy conference, ICF will present its annual Intelligent Community Awards to:
The Intelligent Community of the Year - finalist in a 9-month process beginning in August of the previous year and proceeding through stages of selection including the Smart21 Communities of the Year and the Top Seven Intelligent Communities of the Year.
The Intelligent Community Visionary of the Year - a person or organization that has provided thought leadership in, or an outstanding role model for, economic and social development based on information and communications technology in the broadband economy.
The Intelligent Building of the Year - a real estate development that has deployed information communications technology to enhance its operations, serve its tenants and make a significant contribution to the economic and social development of the surrounding community.
Broadband Application of the Year - a computer application enabled by broadband with the potential to have a significant impact on job creation, local economic development, public wellbeing or social inclusion.
