Instant Films 25th Film Festival May 4, 2008

On Sunday, May 4 at 8:00pm, INSTANT FILMS will be celebrating their 25th Film Festival and 200th film at their annual Instant Films Festival at Los Angeles Center Studios in downtown Los Angeles. INSTANT FILMS was founded in 2002 and has a simple and unique premise: 7 teams are randomly grouped together each consisting of 1 writer, 1 director and 3 actors. They are given ONLY 48 hours to complete a short film-from start to finish. At the conclusion of the festival, all 7 short films are screened in front of an audience.

Past participants of INSTANT FILMS have included top Hollywood names such as: Jenna Fischer (Actor-“The Office”), Sam Lloyd (Actor-“Scrubs”), Matt Walsh (Actor-“Old School,” ”Upright Citizens Brigade”), Ahmed Best (Actor-“Star Wars: Episodes 1, 2 and 3”), Gail Lerner (Producer-“Will & Grace”), Greg Malins (Producer-“How I Met Your Mother,” ”Will & Grace,” “Friends”), James Gunn (Screenwriter-“Dawn of the Dead”), and many more!
This film festival stands out above the rest. It showcases the filmmaking process in its rawest form. Not to mention, it’s also a platform for new and emerging talent! This is certainly an event NOT to be missed!
