'Inspiration & Industry: American Women on the Home Front' is comprised of more than 20 propaganda posters that were issued during WWI and WWII. During both wars, posters were used to persuade Americans at home that they had a responsibility to support war efforts. The depiction of women in the posters shows the changing roles of women between the two wars, from modest participation in WWI to active service during WWII. All posters are from the collections of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
