his session will, in non-technical language, take you from the beginnings of the web to its latest incarnation, sometimes known as web 2.0. We'll look at professional networking sites, tools for establishing your online identity, focusing on the IoD Linked-In community, and looking at other tools that enhance your professional reputation online. After this session, you'll know how to get started and you'll have a few new free tools to play with.

If you aren't online yet and want to find out why and how you should be, or if you've joined up but really can't see a use yet, this is the session for you.

Liz Cable, business development director of Reach Further will run the session. Liz is an experienced facilitator and online community enthusiast. Her company runs one of the oldest community sites on the web with over three million users in its tenth year.
