Join USC for a *free* event focusing on the role that new technologies play in the entertainment industry.
Scott Kirsner, author of a new book, "Inventing the Movies," will open the evening by taking us on an illustrated spin through Hollywood's tech history, from the days of Thomas Edison and the Warner brothers to the era of YouTube and the iPod.
Kirsner's presentation will be followed by a panel discussion addressing new directions for the entertainment industry... including digital 3-D movies, Internet content, self-distributed indie films, and jaw-dropping VFX technologies.
